Vote for SUNFLOWER!

Hello!

The Penguins cluster will be participating in the Adopt a Cow program through Discover Dairy, and we’re excited to introduce our adopted cow  “Sunflower”, a Jersey calf from Laggis Farm in East Hardwick, Vermont!

Throughout the year, students will receive video updates from the farm, along with monthly photos and information about Sunflower’s growth and changes. We’re turning this into a hands-on enrichment lesson about farm life and dairy farming, and the kids are genuinely excited, asking each day when our next update will arrive!

Discover Dairy is hosting the America’s Favorite Cow Vote from November 3rd at 12:01 a.m.– November 5th at 4p.m., and Sunflower is in the running. We’re up against 82 other cows across the country — and if we win, the Penguins Cluster will earn a celebration party and a special care package for Sunflower at her farm! (One vote per email address)

Our hope is that teachers and students will visit Discover Dairy’s website between November 3rd and 5th to cast their vote for Sunflower. The winner will be announced on November 7th between 10:30–11:00 AM.
