Peabody P.R.E.P. Registration InformationMay 27, 2021
Peabody Public Schools invites you and your family to consider registering for one of the state’s first
single district virtual schools: Peabody’s Personalized Remote Education Program or Peabody P.R.E.P., for
short. This unique opportunity is only available to students from Kindergarten through high school that
lives in Peabody. In the care of some of Peabody’s most gifted educators, teaching and learning virtually
from home offers at least an equivalent if not a better learning experience for our youth. While different
from an in-person, face to face education, virtual learning will no doubt make our students future-ready
for their world in the decades to come.
Working within the Peabody Public Schools Mission of H.O.P.E., we plan to deliver a high quality
synchronous learning experience, online, similar to that which hundreds of our students and teachers
have experienced during the past school year. While Peabody P.R.E.P. is a virtual school, the curriculum,
instruction and assessment activities involved in day to day teaching and learning will mirror the in
person learning experience going on in our buildings.
If there is a silver lining to the pandemic, it’s the skills our learning community has developed with
respect to a virtual education. Our remote learning faculty has been working with hundreds of students
the last year to develop their skills in virtual instruction. They have learned and successfully applied
dozens of software solutions that make online teaching and learning engaging, challenging and fun! In
addition, each Peabody P.R.E.P. student will have a homeroom teacher/advisor in a ratio of about 20:1
who will work closely with the student and their family throughout the school year. If you would like to
enroll your child in Peabody P.R.E.P., it begins with our online registration process outlined on our
district website. The enrollment instructions can be found by clicking here. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about Peabody P.R.E.P. please call 978-536-6500.
